KANDAHAR (Pajhwok): The crime branch chief for the 11th police district of Kandahar City Asadullah has been wounded and his wife killed in an armed insurgent attack, a source said on Sunday.
Asadullah was taking his pregnant wife to Aino Mina Hospital on Saturday when armed insurgents attacked them in 38th street of the locality.
A security official, wishing anonymity, told Pajhwok Afghan News Asadullah had been wounded in the attack, which left his wife dead. The child in her womb was also wounded.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
