GARDEZ (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen have shot dead a prosecutor and a tribal elder in southeastern Paktia province.
The prosecutor named Atiqullah and inhabitant of Dawlatzai area.
Lal Mohammad Amiri, a resident of Paktia, told Pajhwok Afghan News the prosecutor was killed on his way home from appellant court.
He said: “The police rushed to the site and launched an investigation.”
Separately, unknown gunmen shot dead a tribal elder and abducted another in the Chamkani district.
Zaitoon Gul Mangal, district’s administrative chief, identified the slain tribal leader as Bakht Mir.
Mangal said Bakht Mir was on his way to Gardez . . .
