2 killed, bride, groom injured in Nangarhar accident

JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Two people were killed and seven others including a groom and bride were injured in a traffic accident in Jalalabad, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province, on Monday.

The accident resulted from race between vehicles of the wedding procession.

Attaullah Khogyani, the governor spokesperson, said the accident happened at around 10am in the Surkh Diwal locality.

He said two people, including a child, were killed and seven others wounded.

Zonal Hospital Spokesperson Gulzada Sangar confirmed receiving seven injured people from the scene.

He said the bride had survived but she was in a critical condition.
