KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan and Tajikistan on Monday signed five Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) on cooperation in different areas.
The MoUs signing comes during President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani trip to Tajikistan where he would attend the Heart of Asia Conference on Afghanistan.
According to a statement from Presidential Palace, the signing of agreements took place in the presence of President Ghani and his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon.
The MoUs were amid at expanding cooperation between the two countries in trade, security, transport, transit, energy and cultural areas.
Both sides inked a joint agreement as well. More details regarding the joint statement and MoUs would come, the statement said.
