Khalilzad, Dostum talk Afghan peace in Turkey

KABUL (Pajhwok): Junbish-e-Melli Party leader Marshal Abdul Rashid Dostum has met with US Special Representative for Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad in Turkey and discussed with him matters related to the peace process.

Dostum’s son BatourDostum on his twitter page wrote the meeting took place at Dostum’s residence in Turkey.

Both sides discussed the ongoing peace process and the establishment of peace in the country. They also exchanged views on upcoming Turkey Conference.

Referring to Turkey’s crucial rule in Afghan peace process, Dostum said Turkey was an influential Islamic nation with cordial relations with Pakistan and Taliban.

He said the advantage Turkey possessed in relations to Afghan peace process should be fully and effectively utilized.
