HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Two people, including a woman, were killed and three others were injured in a traffic accident in western Herat province last night.
Mohammad Rafiq Sherzai, spokesman for the Herat Public Health Department, told Pajhwok Afghan News the accident occurred when a Flying Coach vehicle collided with a speeding car on the Herat-Kandahar highway late on Tuesday night.
He said two people, including a woman, were killed and three others were injured in the incident.
Ebrahim Mohammadi, the head of Herat Ambulance, said that two people had been killed and three injured people taken to hospital by Herat Ambulance.
Most traffic accidents occur due to non-compliance with traffic rules and recklessness of drivers.
