Local army commander killed in Sar-i-Pul explosion

SAR-I-PUL (Pajhwok): Two army personnel, including a local commander, were killed and as many others wounded as a result of a blast in northern Sar-i-Pul province on Wednesday, an official said.

Asadullah Khurram, a member of the provincial council, said the incident took place in the Sar Daba area of Sayad district this morning.

He said a military tank was also destroyed in the blast. The local army commander was identified as Jan Habib Mirzawlang
