Security forces kill civilian in Logar: residents

PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Afghan security forces have killed a 35-year-old civilian in central Logar province, the residents of provincial capital Pul-i-Alam claimed on Thursday.

The residents and elders of Elyas Khan Locality carried the body of deceased person to the Governor Office to register their protest.
Atiqullah, a tribal elder told Pajhwok Afghan News: “Security forces have killed a civilian. We brought the body to the Governor House to seek justice and handover the murder to the law.”

Governor Abdul Qayyoum Rahimi said the deceased man was killed during fire-fight between the Taliban and security forces.

He pledged serious investigation into the incident.
