KABUL (Pajhwok): The need for cooperation between Afghanistan-India film industries has been underlined at a session in Hyderabad city.
As part of its ongoing cultural festival, the Afghan Consulate General organised a meeting of filmmakers in Telangana on Saturday
Afghan film director and producer Roya Sadat and members of Suresh Productions attended the interactive session, The Times of India reported.
With regard to her experiences in the Afghan film industry, Sadat noted improvement in representation of women in the cinema, that despite challenges.
She urged producers to collaborate with Afghan filmmakers, according to the newspaper.
Afghan Consul General Muhammad Suleman Kakar highlighted the historical and cultural links between India and Afghanistan.
“Because of this strong bond, the Indian government and nation have always stood by their Afghan brothers,” he added. The festival will conclude on April 10.
