SHIBERGHAN (Pajhwok): Turkmen tribesmen in Shiberghan city, the capital of northern Jawzjan province, during a protest rally on Tuesday called on the government to include their representative in the government peace delegation.

He was concerned about absence of Turkmen representative in the delegation and warned if a Turkmen representative was not added to the government delegation the ethnic group would create a headache for the government.
He urged the government to also include a Turkmen representative in the delegation which would attend the Turkey Summit to defend right of Turkmen community or they would expand their protest rally.
Meanwhile, Dr. Mohammad Sadiq Makhdoom, a protester said Turkmen ethnic group has played a key role in all former governments but unfortunately the tribe was always marginalized.

AbdulKhaliq Berdi, a tribal elder, said they supported the government peace negotiating team in the intra-Afghan peace process but their demand was inclusion of a Turkmen representative in the upcoming summit, adding Turkmen tribe should not be marginalized.
He said they would not end their protest unless the government included a Turkmen representative in the government peace negotiating team.
