1 policeman killed, 2 wounded in Paghman attack

KABUL (Pajhwok): One policeman was killed and two others wounded as a result of a Taliban attack on their post in Paghman district of central Kabul province, police said on Thursday.

Firdous Faramarz, Kabul police spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the Taliban on Wednesday night attacked a police security post in Kobki area of Paghman district.

He said one policeman was killed and two others wounded in the ensuing clash adding the Taliban also suffered casualties before escaping the area.

Meanwhile Taliban spokesman ZabihullahMujahid tweeted Taliban attacked a security post with mortar fire and captured the security post, killing and injuring 10 policemen. The rebels also carried away one M-16 type weapon and some other ammunition.

He added one Taliban militant was wounded in the attack.

During the week, four such incidents happened in limits of Paghman district.
