JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Thousands of people attended a gathering voicing support for the republic system in eastern Nangarhar province on Monday.
Besides Nangarhar officials, the meeting was also attended by the acting interior minister and his deputies.
The huge gathering at the Sherzai Stadium in Jalalabad City was attended by thousands of people, including women.
Acting Interior Minister Hayatullah Hayat said as people did not accept compromise on the democratic and republic the government was also committed to not sacrificing any state institution or value for peace.
