MAIMANA (Pajhwok): Dozens of people in northern Faryab on Wednesday protested against the appointment of Khalilullah Hakmati as the provincial public health director, accusing him of corruption.
The protestors gathered outside the Balkh Provincial Council office, chanting "Death to Khalil Hekmati, the mayor of Balkh", accusing him of moral corruption and negligence, and burnt his photographs and demanded his removal from the position.
It is noteworthy that Khalilullah Hekmati, the former head of public health in Balkh province, has recently been introduced as the head of public health in Faryab.
