KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Wednesday announced registering 42 new positive Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours nationwide.
The ministry in a statement said 1,518 people underwent tests since Tuesday and the virus was detected in 42 people, pushing the overall tally to 57,534.
It said 19 cases were detected in Kabul, 9 in Kunar, 3 each in Herat, Kandahar, MaidanWardak, Laghman, one each in Takhar and Nimroz provinces.
Nine individuals recovered from the infection, taking the recoveries to 52,022.
