KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Three police personnel were killed, including a deputy district police chief, in northern Kunduz province on Wednesday.
A security official confided to Pajhwok Afghan News the deputy chief for the 5th police district and two more policemen were killed in the morning attack.
He said Syed Haidar Hussaini and two other policemen were shot dead by an influential man at the Enayat Kandak check-post.
The attacker later joined the Taliban and surrendered to the insurgents a military tank and weapons and ammunition.
