Air force officer gunned down in Mazar-e-Sharif

MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): Afghan Air Force (AAF) Lt. Abdul Sabour was killed on Sunday in an armed attack in Mazar-i-Sharif, the capital of northern Balkh province, an official said .

Shaheen Military Corps Spokesperson Hanif Rezaee said the incident happened in the Zaraat Kart area of Mazar-e-Sharif on Sunday afternoon.

He said Lt. Abdul Sabour was shot dead by two motorcyclists.

Mohammad Asif, an eyewitness, said the attackers managed to flee the site after the incident.
