JALALABAD (Pajhwok): A suicide bomber who wanted to attack a mosque in eastern Nangarhar has been captured by National Directorate of Security (NDS) forces, a statement said on Wednesday.
The Nangarhar provincial media office in a statement said Ahmad, a resident of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, intended to carry out a suicide attack.
The alleged bomber had received training in Lawarkai Madrasa and planned to conduct a suicide attack in a mosque in Shinwari district.
But he was captured in limits of seventh Jalalabad police district before reaching his target, the statement said.
The statement also said NDS personnel arrested a fraudster named IjazulHaq who had taken 22,000 afs from an entity using fake identity.
The source said another person identified as Mosa was arrested over demanding extortion money from a doctor.
Similarly, NDS forces also captured a member of Daesh group and four Taliban militants.
The statement added the detainees have been captured in Jalalabad city, Surkhrod and Behsud districts and they belonged to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Laghman province, Kama, HaskaMaina, Hisarak and Shirzad districts.
