KABUL (Pajhwok): Thirteen people have been killed and 12 others injured in a traffic accident in southern Zabul province, an official said on Friday.
The accident happened on Thursday night when a passenger coach collided with a truck on Kabul-Kandahar highway in the Jaldak locality of Zabul province.
Provincial Hospital Director Dr. Nazir Ahmad Harifal said 13 bodies and 12 injured had been evacuated to the hospital from the site of the accident.
According to another source passenger traveling in the coach hailed from the Khogyano and Pachir Agam districts of Nangarhar who traveled to Zabul for work.
The source added 14 people were killed and seven others injured in the incident.
