3 suspected terrorists shot dead near Afghan-Iran border

KABUL (Pajhwok): Three militants have been killed and their cell dismantled by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard members near the border with Afghanistan.

Tasnim news agency reported Saturday an exchange of fire between Revolutionary Guard forces and the suspected terrorists left three militants dead in Sistan and Baluchistan province.

The troops also seized explosives and weapons from the terrorists who were allegedly planning militant activities in the area.

According to the semi-official media outlet, the border area has been the scene of occasional firefights between Baluch militants and Iranian forces.
