JALALABAD (Pajhwok): At least eight people have been wounded when a bomb hit a vehicle carrying workers of Breshna Sherkat in eastern Nangarhar province on Thursday, officials said.
A security official who wished to go unnamed told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast took place on a in the 3th police district on Thursday morning.
He said that the bomb hit a Hilux model vehicle that carrying Breshna Sherkat or power utility workers. Six people injured in the incident, he said.
Zahir Ammar, spokesman of the power utility in a Facebook post said that eight people were injured in the incident. Four of the injured were workers of the power utility and four others were passersby, he said.
He said the injured were being treated at the Provincial Zonal Hospital.
No groups have so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
