KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan’s permanent representative to the United Nations has underlined the importance his country attaches to cooperation with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
In a video conference with his GCC counterparts in New York on Wednesday, Dr. Zalmai Rassoul also spoke about his candidacy for the presidency for the UN General Assembly’s 76th session.
A Bahraini media outlet reported Dr. Rassoul outlined his vision and priorities. He promised promoting cooperation with GCC states on addressing common challenges.
The participants also conferred on the main issues on the UN General Assembly’s agenda, as well as the common priorities and concerns of GCC countries, according to BNA.
