KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Saturday said 183 new positive Covid-19 cases were registered in the last 24 hours in the country.
The ministry in a statement said 1,162 people underwent tests since Wednesday and the virus was detected in 183 people, pushing the overall tally to 60,122.
It said 63 cases were detected in Kabul, 28 in Helmand, 22 in Kandahar, 14 in Laghman, 13 in Nangarhar,11 in Balkh, five in MiadanWardak, four each in Takhar, Logar, three each in Bamyan, Daikundi and one each in Faryab and Zabul provinces.
At least 66 individuals recovered, taking the recoveries to 53,272 and six people lost their lives to the virus during the period, with the total death toll reaching 2,637.
