MEHTARLAM (Pajhwok): Four more check-posts have fallen to the Taliban in the Alingar district of eastern Laghman province, a well-placed security source said on Friday.
Security personnel managed to flee the area on the mediation of local elders and left their weapons in the check-posts.
The Taliban and security forces suffered no casualties during their fire-fight.
Police Spokesperson Shafiullah Afghanyar said local army personnel made a tactical retreat from the check-posts and later Afghan Air Force carried out airstrike in the area in which dozens of militants were killed.
