HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Businesswomen in western Herat province have organised an exhibition -- the Eidi Bazaar -- to promote the sale of their products.
The exhibition is primarily aimed to introduce and market the products of businesswomen, says an organiser.
Romina Osmani, head of Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Herat, said businesswomen had displayed their products at 50 stalls.
She added the businesswomen had put on display dried fruits, clothes, traditional and modern clothing, home decoration items, honey, Saffron, homemade cakes and cookies.
She called lack of such exhibitions and marketing of women’s products major problems of businesswomen.
Meanwhile, some of these women said organising such events was useful for the marketing and sale of their products.
Zainab ShafiZada, a businesswoman from Guzra district, hailed the initiative and said it was helpful in terms of marketing and sale of products.
Anisa Sarwari, director of women’s affairs, said the aim of the exhibition was to introduce products of women from Herat City and various districts of the province.
The “Eidi Bazaar” will continue for three days in the Bagh-i-Azadi area of Herat City.
