5 civilians injured as 2nd explosion rattles Parwan

CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): Five civilians were wounded as a result of a second blast at the site of a sticky bomb explosion in central Parwan province.

A security source, wishing anonymity, said a coaster-type vehicle was hit by the sticky bomb in the Pul-i-Matak area of Jabal-us-Saraj district at around 6:30am.

He said five civilians were killed and many others wounded in the incident but Abdul Qasem Sangin, director of the 100-bed hospital, said two bodies and nine wounded people had been evacuated to hospital.

Abdul Wasi Rahimi, Parwan crime branch chief, said the second blast happened near the site of first explosion.

Rahimi said the second blast caused no casualties but Dr. Abdul Khalil Haidari, director of civil hospital, confirmed receiving five wounded people from the site of the second blast.
