KABUL (Pajhwok): Israeli air strikes have left 21 Palestinians dead and many more wounded, as deadly clashes persist in the region.
The Israeli military and Palestinians have been fighting for several days now. The Israeli forces also attacked Masjid-i-Aqsa, wounding more than 500 people.
Following these attacks, Gaza-based Hamas fired missiles into Israeli areas. But Tel Aviv said the attacks caused no casualties.
The medical wing of Hamas said overnight Israeli missile attacks had left 21 dead, including children. Many more were wounded.
The UN Security Council has condemned the violence in Palestine and urged both sides to declare an immediate ceasefire.
