KABUL the Islamic state, locally known as Daesh, has claimed responsibility for the May 14 bombing of a Kabul mosque.
A dozen worshippers were killed in the attack on the mosque in the Shakar Dara district of Kabul during Friday prayers.
The powerful explosion breached the three-day ceasefire agreed between the Taliban and the Ashraf Ghani administration.
Foreign media outlets quoted the terrorist outfit as saying its fighters had placed an explosive device inside the mosque.
The bomb was detonated after worshippers arrived at the mosque to offer prayers on the second day of the Eid al-Fitr.
