PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): The EU ambassador and the Pakistan army have conferred on recent developments in the Afghan peace process.
At their meeting in Rawalpindi on Monday, Androulla Kaminara and Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa also discussed matters of mutual interest and the regional security situation.
Gen Bajwa said Pakistan valued its relations with the EU and earnestly wanted to enhance the mutually beneficial multi-domain ties based on common interests.
The army’s media wing said Kaminara commended Pakistan’s efforts for bringing peace and stability to the region, especially for promoting the Afghan peace push.
The EU diplomat also met Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry. She was conveyed Pakistan’s deep anguish over the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza/
The minister underlined the international community’s obligation to help resolve the situation and facilitate a just solution.
About peace and development in the region, Chaudhry said Pakistan desired good relations with all its neighbours and was willing to reciprocate any peace overture.
