KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan will tour Australian for a long-delayed one-off Test match in November this year, a media report said on Wednesday.
The five-day encounter, set back by the Covid-19 pandemic, will begin at Hobart from November 27, the Outlook reported.
Afghanistan have won three of the six Test matches they have played so far since 2018. In the rest of the three, they were beaten.
The Aussies — the oldest cricket-playing nation — would field a full-strength squad against Afghanistan, Australian skipper Tim Paine said.
Following the test, the hosts will open their Ashes defence in Brisbane from December 8 to12 and. From December 16, they are scheduled to play a day-night Test in Adelaide.
The next two Ashes Tests will be played in Melbourne and Sydney. The fifth long-format event will take place in Perth from January 14 to 18.
