KABUL (Pajhwok): The American forces completed 13 to 20 percent of the entire retrograde process from Afghanistan, US Central Command (CENTCOM) says.
While withdrawing from the war-devastated country, the US has officially handed over five facilities to the Afghan Ministry of Defence.
In a statement on Tuesday, CENTCOM said about 115 C-17 military cargo-loads of material had been flown out of Afghanistan.
More than 5,000 pieces of equipment have been turned over to the Defense Logistics Agency for destruction, according to the statement.
Foreign forces started pulling out of the country on May 1 following President Joe Biden’s announcement. The pullout will be completed by September 11.
