KABUL (Pajhwok): Nazar Mohammad Faqiri, a former senator, has been sentenced to one year and six months in jail and fined 1,214,000 afghanis over embezzlement of hundreds of tons of wheat.
The Supreme Court in a statement said the primary court of the Anti-Corruption Justice Center (ACJC) handed down the verdict in an open hearing on Saturday.
