PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): A Pakistan soldier has been killed in a terrorist attack from across the Durand Line in North Waziristan tribal district, the army said on Sunday.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement Afghanistan-based terrorists opened fire on a military post in North Waziristan late on Saturday night.
As Pakistani troops returned fire, a soldier named Umar Daraz received a bullet injury and embraced martyrdom. The 32-year-old soldier hailed from the Jhang district of Punjab province.
The statement strongly condemned the use of Afghanistan’s soil by terrorists for activities against Pakistan.
In the second week of May, one soldier was wounded after terrorists opened fire from across Durand Line at a military check-post in the Bajaur district.
