Sir Laurie Bristow appointed new UK ambassador to Afghanistan

KABUL (Pajhwok): Sir Laurie Bristow KCMG has been appointed United Kingdom ambassador to Afghanistan, a statement from British Embassy in Kabul said on Monday.

Laurie Bristow will replace Ms. Alison Blake CMG as an ambassador.  He will take up his appointment during June 2021.

Earlier he served as UK ambassador to China, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Middle East and North Africa.
