KABUL (Pajhwok): About 115 C-17 military cargo loads of material have been flown out of Afghanistan, US Central Command (CENTCOM) says.
More than 5,000 pieces of equipment had been handed over to the Defense Logistics Agency for destruction, a statement from CENTCOM said on Tuesday.
It added the US military had formally turned over five facilities to the Afghan Ministry of Defense.
“US Central Command estimates that we have completed 13 to 20% of the entire retrograde process,” the statement said.
President Joe Biden has set the Sept. 11 deadline for all American forces to be withdrawn from Afghanistan.
