KABUL (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen killed brother of the district chief for Sarobi district of southeastern Paktika province in Bagrami district of Kabul province, officials said on Wednesday.
The murder took place in Butkhak area of Bagrami district on Tuesday evening, said Kabul police spokesman Firdous Faramarz.
He told Pajhwok Afghan News that unidentified gunmen opened fire at a vehicle in the Butkhak area; killing one and wounded two others.
The police spokesman did not identify the slain and the wounded persons.
But a Facebook user, Monawar Mubariz identified the slain person as Awal Khan, brother of district chief of Sarobi district of Paktika.
He added Khan was a commander of Afghan Local Police (ALP) in Paktika province.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the killing.
