KABUL (Pajhwok): NATO Foreign and Defence Ministers will meet virtually on 1 June 2021 to finalize preparations for the Summit of Allied leaders scheduled to be held in Brussels on 14 June.
“They are expected to exchange views on a variety of topics,” an unnamed NATO official said.
“They are also expected to take stock of NATO’s efforts in Afghanistan,” he added. During a recent visit to Portugal NATO Secretary General said that “the drawdown of our troops continues in a coordinated way.”
“At the same time, NATO remains committed to our enduring partnership with Afghanistan; this includes continued training and financial sustainment of the Afghan forces, and supporting all efforts towards a sustainable peace,” he added.
