KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan-Australia Chamber of Commerce and Investment (AACCI) has asked the Australian government to reconsider its decision of closing its diplomatic mission in Afghanistan, according to a statement on Saturday.
Recently some reports broadcasted that the government of Australia decided to close its Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan.
As diplomatic mission plays significant role in strengthening and facilitation of trade and investment as well. The private sector is in Afghanistan is concerning in this regard.
“Afghanistan and Australia have had good diplomatic and trade relationships over the past many years”, said Abdulrahimzai, founder and CEO for Afghanistan-Australia Chamber of Commerce and Investment.
He added “we appreciate the support and cooperation of Australia in various areas including trade and investment so, we kindly request the government of Australia to reconsider the decisions and consider the concerns of the private community in both the countries. Afghanistan”.
Afghanistan-Australia Chamber of Commerce and Investment since 2020 after completing its legal procedures officially started its activities to tie bilateral relations, support private sector, and encourage investments.
