KABUL (Pajhwok): Former Awami National Party (ANP) Leader Afrasyiab Khattak on Saturday warned a new round of violence could dynamite the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

On his twitter handler he wrote: “A new round of violence can dynamite the CPEC, but that won’t be the only thing to be blown away.”

He added: “The US, Taliban Doha deal didn’t work in 1990s and it won’t work now. If not changed the said policy can turn relationship between the two countries into a zero sum game.”

Coming hard on Pakistani military generals he said: “Pakistani generals are practically imposing suzerainty over Afghanistan through Taliban. Every Afghan leader who raises the question of Taliban sanctuaries in Pakistan and the undeclared war fought by them for decades is blacklisted/delegitimised. This has become more brazen after US-Taliban Doha deal.”
