KABUL (Pajhwok): A group of Chinese investors plans to generate 300 megawatts of electricity by investing about $400 million in Afghanistan.
In Kabul, the Presidential Palace said President Ghani met a group of Chines investors interested in investing in energy generation in Afghanistan.
A statement from Ghani’s office quoted the Chinese as evincing an interest in generating 300 megawatts of electricity using coal by investing about $400 million.
The statement added Ghani provided information on investment opportunities in Afghanistan's natural resources and the energy sector.
