Thieves kill professor at home in Farah

FARAH (Pajhwok): Armed robbers killed AbdulNaserFitrat, a professor at the teacher’s training institute of western Farah province, at his residence on Sunday morning, police said.

Farah Police spokesman, GhulamFarooqHazrati told Pajhwok Afghan News armed thieves entered the residence of the professor at around 4am to steal his bike but Fitrat attempted to prevent the theft.

He said one of the robbers fired shots at the professor and killed him.

This comes a day after four professors of Kapisa’s Albirooni University were killed as a result of a sticky bomb blast.

The bomb was attached to their shuttle vehicle and 11 more were wounded including the dean of the university.
