KABUL (Pajhwok): Qatar has vehemently condemned a mortar attack on a wedding ceremony in central Kapisa province.
A local police official blamed the Taliban insurgents for firing the mortar shell that landed inside a home, killing seven civilians and wounding three others.
In a statement on Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Doha denounced the strike on a civilian house in Tagab district.
Qatar reiterated its position on rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of motives and extended condolences to the families of the victims, the Afghan government and people.
