AIBAK/CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): Three National Directorate of Security (NDS) personnel have been killed and as many wounded in a blast on their vehicle in central Parwan province and four security personnel have been wounded in a Taliban attack in northern Samangan province.
Parwan police chief AbdulWasiRahimi told Pajhwok Afghan News a vehicle of NDS personnel struck a landmine in Charikar, the provincial capital, at around 3pm in the afternoon on Tuesday.
Rahimi did not provide details about casualties but AbdulQasemSangin, head of Parwan civilian hospital said that three bodies and three wounded persons had been brought to their hospital.
Some security sources said that two NDS personnel and a driver had been killed in the incident.
Separately, SultanAliSultani, district chief of Upper Dara-i-Soof district of Samangan province, said armed insurgents on Monday night attacked a security post of Public Uprising Force in Shabashak coal mine area of the district, inuring four public uprising personnel including a policeman.
The district chief said the Taliban also suffered casualties in cross firing but the exact figure was not yet known.
Armed opponents of the government have not commented on neither of the incidents.
