JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Dozens of Islamic scholars in eastern Nangarhar province at a gathering on Tuesday asked the Taliban to stop violence, bloodshed and declare a ceasefire.
The scholars said the war was not any solution and the Taliban should follow the way of negotiations and dialogue for ensuring peace in the country.
Participants of the gathering in Jalalabad city, the provincial capital, also asked the government to show a good gesture to Taliban for truce.
