KABUL (Pajhwok): More than 180 Taliban insurgents have been killed and 58 others wounded in the past 24 hours across the country, the Ministry of Defence claimed on Friday.
As many as 183 militants suffered fatalities during operations in Nangarhar, Ghazni, Zabul, Uruzgan, Jawzjan, Helmand, Takhar and Kunduz provinces, the ministry said in a brief statement.
Without specifying the exact locations of the counterinsurgency operations, the ministry said a large quantity of weapons and ammunition were also destroyed in the raids.
