AIBAK (Pajhwok): At least 10 Taliban insurgents and two security force members have been killed during clashes in different areas of Samangan province.
Azizullah, an Afghan National Army (ANA) commander, told Pajhwok Afghan News the clashes took place in different areas of Roy Doab district.
Ten fighters were killed and six others wounded, he said, adding a number of weapons and ammunition were also seized by the security forces.
Azizullah added two security personnel were killed and three others wounded in the firefights.
Pajhwok tried to contact local residents for comments, but failed. The Taliban are yet to comment on the clashes in Samangan.
