GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): The Taliban have captured the Ab Band district of southern Ghazni province, but officials confirmed the fall of only two security check-posts.
A security official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Pajhwok Afghan News the militants staged attacks on the district centre and police headquarters.
He said the insurgents overran the police headquarters and the district’s office complex after fierce fighting.
“Government officials have relocated the district building and police headquarters to another place on the Kabul-Kandahar highway,” he informed.
Another security official based in the troubled district said they clashed with the Taliban . . .
