KABUL (Pajhwok): Five civilians have been killed in limits of Paghman district of capital Kabul by Taliban insurgents, police official said on Saturday.
Police spokesman Ferdos Faramarz said the incident took place in Arghandah area of the district on Friday night.
The five individuals were on their way home from wedding ceremony, he said, adding they were killed after being abducted on the highway.
Faramarz claimed that Taliban insurgents were behind the killing of the five individuals.
However, the Taliban have made no comment in this regard.
Meanwhile, a local official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said unknown gunmen shot dead former Jihadi commander, Ghazi, along with four others in Sayrahi Oryakhel area of the district.
Without elaborating, the local police confirmed the incident.
Angry residents denied investigation by police due to a surge in insecurity in the area.
