AIBAK (Pajhwok): The Telecommunication and Information Technology director for northern Samangan province has been released after spending about 10 months in Taliban’s captivity.

Police spokesman Monir Rahimi said the Taliban had abducted Mohammad Mustaad more than 10 months ago when he was returning to Samangan from Jawzjan province in the Timorak area of Chahar Bolak district in Balkh province.

The Taliban released Mustaad on Sunday night. Mustaad told Pajhwok via telephone that the Taliban released him without any deal and without any preconditions at around 8:00pm on Sunday night and he had reunited with family.
