CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): At least 14 local security personnel were killed and injured while around 30 arrested by the Taliban in the Shinwari district of central Parwan province on Tuesday, an official said.
Governor Fazal Din Ayyar said 25 to 30 personnel and Commander Abdul Ghafar were arrested by the Taliban after fire fight this morning in the Namak Ab valley.
“There were surrounded by the Taliban, air support had not reached our ground troops and efforts did not yield result,” he said.
Ayyar said six personnel, including commander Ghafar’s son, were killed during clash with the Taliban.
