KABUL (Pajhwok): The Kabul Municipality on Thursday announced suspending its bus service due to the worsening COVID-19 crisis in the country.
On its Facebook page, the municipality wrote the bus service would be suspended with effect from Saturday, June 18.
In an effort to keep the pandemic from spreading, the municipality said its buses would stop operating in Kart-i-Naw and Ahmad Shah Baba Mina.
The service would resume once the infection levels dropped, the municipality said, without giving a specific date.
A day earlier, the Ministry of Public Health reported 94 deaths from COVID-19 across the country.
